Camping with The Larsens

In the middle of September, Josh and I met Chris and Jessica up in Utah at Panguitch Lake. The weather was beautiful. A little warm during the day and a little chilly at night. Okay so a little more than chilly. The low was 43 degrees. burrr! We had an awesome campsite with a view of the lake just a few steps away. All of us enjoyed the break away from reality for a few days. It was my first time camping in a tent and I really like it. I can't wait to do it again. Hopefully for more than a couple days next time. Here are some highlights of the trip:

We took this picture with the 10 sec self timer in place. I set it on a post across the road. We all took our places. Josh pushed the button and ran!! We did it though and it is one of my favorite pictures. I was lucky to have got Chris in that field of bushes. More to come on why?!?
Our view just a few steps away from our site.
This is Chris wondering "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!?" Apparently, he is very scared of bugs, insects, and anything else that can buzz by him. He is especially scared of yellow jackets after he researched them on Wikipedia before coming haha. He had us laughing so hard at times we were crying. I couldn't breath laughing so hard. I really did try to hold it in once because I knew he really was scared but I just couldn't. We even have some video. It is just at funny to watch the 2nd and 3rd time. HAHA! A funny fact about this picture, he was freaking out and there was absolutely nothing there!

This was the view on Saturday morning before everyone woke up. I love this picture and I am not sure why. I like when Josh wears his boots and I think that is what I like about this picture!
Note: I was up earlier than everyone else because my husband doesn't "girl" camp. Which means no air mattress. Well I thought I would be ok but apparently I need girl camping. He doesn't have any idea how it feels to have rock in your chest while you are trying to sleep.

Right down the hill from our campsite there was this little stream. We all went on a little hike down the hill and got some good pictures of us couples. Something about the fresh air and running stream water is so relaxing.

Jessica took a nap that afternoon and I hung out with the guys. I listened to them talk school. We watched Chris try and study. I gave Josh a nice foot rub. Even was kind enough to floss between his toes with his socks to get all the sock fuzz out. Nothing but true love in this marriage.

Josh was like a little kid in the tent. He liked playing with the fan/light and peeking his head out of the front of the tent. No peek a boo though haha!

We played Rummy later in the afternoon. It wasn't Chris' first time but he could have fooled us. He was so confused. I'm not quite sure if he even got it after we were finished playing. Him being so confused was in my favor because he just kept throwing down all the cards I needed and I won. Through out the game, we ate and ate and ate but still had room for dinner shortly after.

Josh made us a campfire. Camping isn't camping with out one. We had chili dogs and mac and cheese for dinner. Josh did a great job of cooking with what tools we had. It was the first time I had roasted hot dogs and they were delicious! We also made smores. Jessica had got a smores kit for her bridal shower and it had the biggest marshmallows we had ever seen. They were probably about 3 inches big. They were messy but tasty! Chris liked laughing at everyones marshmallow faces.

We went home on Sunday. Josh and I were all packed up before Chris and Jessica were even up I think. We stopped off for a little scenic view and pictures. The leaves were starting to change and it was beautiful! Orange, red, and yellow leaves are what make me love Fall!
