When we went to Disneyland for Racquel's birthday, I bought this Hidden Mickey book. It would tell us where to find the hidden mickeys on every ride. It added something different to each ride. These are the ones we found...

Disneyland

Just when I thought I wasn't going to get to go to Disneyland for a while, Jen invited me to go with her and the kids, and her friend and family. We left on Sunday and finally made it to Anaheim 7 and 1/2 hours later. The traffic there was a nightmare. There was 2 accidents on top of the regular traffic to California from Vegas on a Sunday. We had quite the entertainment from the car in front of us. They were no very happy that people were passing on the shoulder. He started with one little birdie as people drove by and then if that wasn't enough he stuck is bare white butt out the window and mooned the cars driving by. Then if that wasn't enough he went with 2 little birdies. He probably went on for about a 1/2 hour or so. I have pictures but I didn't think it was appropriate to put pictures of bare butts on my blog haha. After finally making it there, we went to Red Robin for dinner and then to the hotel. Grace and I were sleeping buddies the first night. She was excited but during the night it became not as exciting as she kicked me and used me as a body pillow while she was sleeping. I still love her though.

The next day we were up early and at Denny's for breakfast. Made it to Disneyland and got on most of the rides before 1. The lines were good and it wasn't too hot yet. As the day went on though that changed. Lines got long and it got hot. We went on Splash Mountain and Space Mountain.

Jake and I were Haunted Mansion partners. We attempted to take pictures but the carriage kept moving too much.

All the girls got their face painted. It was pretty hot out so by the end of the night it was slowly melting. They were fancy though. Glitter and All.
We watched the Dance Party on Main Street. Grace and Erika got to be part of the dance crew. I think I have decided that my favorite character is Jessie from Toy Story. She is so cute!

The next day we went to California Adventure all day. It was miserably HOT this day! Jen, Kati, and I stood at the bottom of the drop of the Grizzly River Run and cooled off while the rest of the gang went on the ride. We got separated from the rest of the group but were finally reunited at the Aladdin show. We enjoyed the rest of our day there and then headed back home. All of us were beat though by the time that we got into town at about 2am.

Chris and Jessica's Wedding 8/14/10
Josh and I were both asked to be a part of the wedding. It made it that more exciting for us to be a part of the big day! I helped Jessica decorate the gym the day before while Josh and Chris went out golfing. Chris came after to help and to try and give his 2 cents.
On the big day, I was at her house at 5:30am to do her hair. It made for a long day but I was able to take a nap in between pictures and the reception. Josh and I were almost late to the temple because we were messing with his suspenders. We were having too much fun with those. Mike were his to the reception later. It made for a great picture! The reception looked beautiful. We created a dropped ceiling and hung lights through out. We enjoyed getting to see some of our old friends from high school. It is always fun when you get us all back together and as you can see in the picture this is pretty much how it went. The guys and ME!! I love them all though! It is still so cool to me that we all still talk and we got to all be here for each others big days!
Enjoyed watching Chris and Jessica cut the cake too. You would have thought that it was Chris' first time cutting a cake. It took them a little while to figure it out but they did it. I was so excited to see they smashed it! I love that. It is only payback for something in the future. The cake topper was so cute to. It played true to their real life.

A Quick Trip
Josh and I went to Disneyland last Thursday-Saturday. We always have a good time when we go. It is a quick get away from reality and the heat here. This trip we limited ourselves not to eat junk food and we did pretty well. Got a chocolate covered marshmallow and an oatmeal raisin cookie and only ate half of each. We also spent 2 hours out by the hotel pool. We typically spend no time at the hotel except to sleep but we definitely enjoyed the pool this time! Both of us took a nap on lounge chairs and relaxed. We went to Bubba Gump Shrimp Company to eat. It was our first time. The atmosphere is pretty cool and my food was good! While we were there, we found out that Disneyland raised their prices of everything. All the way from ticket prices to churros! We couldn't get over it! Good thing we have annual passes. We enjoyed the time we had there because we may not get to go back for a while with Josh starting school and working.

Kalah's 21st Birthday
Festivities for Kalah started at midnight on the 18th. My dad, Josh, and I had just got back into town about 3 hours before but still went to Stoneys with her to celebrate.

upper left: my dad, sis, and I. upper right: my sis and her BFFs. lower: my cousins
The next day we had a nice Italian themed dinner at the house with my family. I made pizza rolls. My mom made mancotti and we got bread sticks from Olive Garden. My little sister, Tarin, her friend made the birthday cake. It was so cute! Instead of candles we lit sparklers on the top...and yes Kalah tried to blow them out haha!

After dinner all of the girls over 21 went to play BINGO. No luck for Kalah but my aunt won. I made Kalah this BINGO shirt while I was in Pismo.
