The Michael Jackson Memorial
The house that Michael lived in when he lived here in town has been vacant for years. It is on Rancho and Palomino. I didn't even know he lived here at one point and didn't know that the house was literally across the street from my work. I saw on the news the memorial that has formed outside of the house so a girl from work and I went over there on our lunch. There were quite a bit of people there, there were security guards, there newspaper photographers, there were reports, and to my surprise, a collection of old antique cars that had been abandoned by someone. Some were covered and some weren't, but you can tell by some of the keep up of the outside that no one lives there. My thought though is if these expensive cars are here abandoned what is the house?? Any way there was a lot of things laid out in front of the house in memory and it was kind of neat to be a part of that and to see it. I took a couple pictures with my phone...

I also had recorded the funeral that day and watched it when I got home. I watched it start to finish. There were some pretty amazing things said and great speakers and singers. His brothers, sisters, and daughter were all so sad. I felt for them. I know that a lot of things have been said about him and he was a little strange, but I don't think that he did most of the things that he was accused of. As much as the world respects him and the things that each person had to say at the service it is hard to believe that he was what the media made him out to be.

This post is a little off the top. I tend to get a little obsessed when something like this happens. For those of you who know me well know that I am the same way with a couple other events/subjects. Ha Ha!
