Mervyns
I have came to the conclusion that I absolutely, 1oo%, hate Mervyns. I guess just the one by my house really because I'm not sure how the other locations are but it is like little Havana in there. They have Mexican music playing on the radio. All of the announcements that come over the intercom are in Spanish. More than half of the employees barely speak English. All the customers don't speak English, except for the 5 white customers through out the entire store. They had a sign up the other day that said "Come celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Mervyns." The special that was going on that day was in Spanish so I am not sure what it said. Walking around the store was a homeless woman with a piece of paper in her hand. She was walking up to people holding the paper out for them to read. I didn't give it enough time to read what it said. And on top of all this the store is a complete disaster. It's not that I am prejudice because I date a Mexican but I just don't think it is right that we live in America and speak English but yet we are accommodating to those who don't speak English. I hope I am as lucky as Jamie and Mervyns will read my blog. Not that I am ever going back but just so they know my opinion. Sorry if I offended anyone.
I have never even noticed all the Spanish signing. But that store is a mess. I dont shop often but I know that store is a disaster. Last time Jen and I were in there I asked her what was up with the conditions. She said it is always like that..
