Mervyns

I have came to the conclusion that I absolutely, 1oo%, hate Mervyns. I guess just the one by my house really because I'm not sure how the other locations are but it is like little Havana in there. They have Mexican music playing on the radio. All of the announcements that come over the intercom are in Spanish. More than half of the employees barely speak English. All the customers don't speak English, except for the 5 white customers through out the entire store. They had a sign up the other day that said "Come celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Mervyns." The special that was going on that day was in Spanish so I am not sure what it said. Walking around the store was a homeless woman with a piece of paper in her hand. She was walking up to people holding the paper out for them to read. I didn't give it enough time to read what it said. And on top of all this the store is a complete disaster. It's not that I am prejudice because I date a Mexican but I just don't think it is right that we live in America and speak English but yet we are accommodating to those who don't speak English. I hope I am as lucky as Jamie and Mervyns will read my blog. Not that I am ever going back but just so they know my opinion. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Cricut Addiction
I am officially addicted to the Cricut. I spent all day Monday playing around with it. I cut letters after letters and shapes after shapes. This is what came out of my addiction:

The 12 months of the year for my calendar.

and "Live, Laugh, and Love" quote to go on my wall

2 Down and 2 To Go

I just finished the 2nd one. I think it was a lot better than the 1st. I loved the 1st one too but this was a little more intense for me. This one I finished in less than a week. I can't believe how much I am loving these books. Now I am going to start this one with a lot of anticipation. I can't wait to see what happens next. I have no doubt that it wont be just as good if not better.
For Kalah...

You leave and it finally storms. Thanks for sending the rain down here from Oregon. Hopefully you can see it coming down! It rained for a good 45 mintues on Monday afternoon. It was about time we saw some rain here.

The First Female President

My little sister, Tarin, is running for Student Body President. I am so excited for her. I can't wait to find out how she does. The election is still 2 weeks away but her campaign posters are due tomorrow. I helped her make them today. It's been a long time since I got to do something crafty like that so we had a fun making them. Thanks to a family friend who let us borrow her Cricket machine it was so much easier. I am addicted to the Cricket. I know if I had one I probably wouldn't use it that much but it still would be fun to have. It just made life so much easier instead of having to cut them out. We loved how they turned out. We are hoping that they are not too girly to where they wont attract the boys' attention. We shall see. I can't wait to see how she does. Good Luck T!!

Umm...GROSS!
Ok so this is a really random post. I rarely turn my ceiling fan off in my bedroom. I actually couldn't tell you the last time that was. But anyway...the old fan that was in my room was not bright enough for my room. After 6 years I am finally changing it. When I turned off my old fan today I was so GROSSED out. Check this out:
Yes...that is a layer, a very thick layer, of dust. This is the new fan. I plan on cleaning this one a lot more often. It's a lot faster and a lot brighter. It's was a good change.
