On Friday, I had my sisters, Austynn, and the Cooks over to dye eggs. All the girls had fun doing their half and half eggs. The Cooks brought some stickers for their eggs and Austynn used a paint brush for the details on her eggs. We finished with no major accidents and before it got too hot out!! It was a good time.
This Easter we made it to both families. We started off at my parents. The Cooks, The Lennons, and Aunt Laurie were there too! We ate hambugers and hotdogs. The kids did an egg hunt and then blew the bubbles Aunt Laurie bought for them. It was fun to get to watch them be so excited when they found an egg. Kaden wouldn't pick the dollar eggs because the eggs with coins in them had more. Miss Hayden would only pick up the pink and purple ones since those were the girl eggs. Then the Cook girls were just out to find the most eggs. :) I can't wait for Paisley to get to be a part of it next year.
Didn't get to stay to long before we were off to our second go around at Josh's parents house. Grandma and Grandpa were there along with Jodie and her family and the Purvis family. It was fun to visit with all of them. We had steak and hotdogs there to eat. After lounging and visiting for a little bit, the adults filled the eggs for the kids to find. All the kids stayed inside while they hid them. The countdown started and the kids were off. We had a few upsets after because one didn't get a money egg, jake was taking candy from the baskets, candy necklaces were breaking, but after a few minutes the kids forgot about all of that. Josh and I were getting ready to leave just as they were about to dye eggs. I am sure they turned out great!
I enjoy getting to be with our families on every holiday. It doesn't have to be a holiday for us to get together either but I enjoy every minute. I am excited that Mother's Day is only a couple weeks away. More get togethers!!

A Visit from Austynn
My niece Austynn was in town the weekend of spring break for a dance competition. We couldn't make it to the competition so I thought I would see if she would want to stay the whole week with us. My parents were going to Bakersfield the next weekend and it would work out perfect for them to take her back then. Austynn was very excited to come. Her only 2 questions were: Where am I going to sleep? and Can I stay up late? We had a great time hanging out with her all week. We were busy ladies though. It is amazing how fast a week can go by. We...
*went to the mall to shop for bathing suits *painted our toes *went to the MGM pool *went to In and Out *dyed eggs *saw RIO *her and Tarin baby sat *trimmed her hair *just enjoyed the little girl chatting!! *and I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something :)
She wants to come back in August to see her new cousin Paisley. I would love for her to come back down to visit. We will see what we can do.

Josh's 24th birthday!
On his birthday we went to dinner at PF Changs with our friends. The food was delicious as usual and we had a ton left over. I brought the cake that I made for him and we sang happy birthday. Only the top tier got ate and since we were going out after my only option was to leave it there to be thrown out. We were there for a while just laughing and have a good time until the bill came and it was $605 :) After the shock wore off we headed out to South Point for the guys to gamble a little. I just went and relaxed at hotel registration until they were ready to go. Josh left there a happy winner!! Later just Josh, Mike, Eric, and I headed to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar. We had a great time listening to all the different music. Even Paisley was dancing along. Ryan and one of Mike's friends met up with us just in time to get Josh on the pianos to sing him Happy Birthday!! It was a great night. Lots of fun stories told and lots of memories made with our friends!!
I pretty sure it is safe to say that he enjoyed his birthday weekend. It is crazy to think that we will have a little girl tagging along to celebrate his 25th birthday!!!
The next morning we met his family at Mimi's cafe for breakfast. We were glad to have got to celebrate with them just before the left for Utah. They got him a Dick's gift card. And guess were we headed right after... Dick's!! Later in the afternoon, after a much needed nap, we met my family at Lucielles. It was so nice out we got to sit on the patio and eat. My parents bought him a pair of skele-toes and my sisters got him a Dicks gift card too. We had some dessert and then walked around the district for a while. Josh and I headed home after that.
Paisley's Room
All the furniture is painted. The crib is put together. All the bedding is in place. And now we just have to decorate some walls. Here is the finished product...
MS Walk
The first weekend in April, my whole family walked a 5k out at Town Square for MS. My Aunt Kari has MS and we were very excited to get to walk with her. We all met up early and signed in. Then hung around until we were called to start warming up. The old lady that is on PBS and has her own exercise show was there to warm everyone up. Shortly after we started our walk. We had to stop once so that the pregnant lady could use the bathroom. Who could that be?!?! We began slowing down towards the end but we all finished together!! It was a great feeling to have finished that for my Aunt and to see everyone else that was out there walking for the cause.

After the walk my parents, my sister, Josh, and I all took Ryan to breakfast. His choice was Peppermill. As my parents reminisced about the good old days they had there, us younger crowd wondered what we got our selves into and wondered if it was really worth the 30 minute wait. Turns out it was awesome food. Happy Birthday to Ryan!

To My Egg-cellent Husband
Josh's favorite thing about Easter is Cadbury Creme Eggs so I usually pick him up a few when I go to the store and surprise him. This time I decided to get creative and make him something a little more fun to give them to him. I had the paint, egg carton, ribbon, and paper. So the total cost was just $2 for the eggs!! What a cheap, cute, and fun gift. He liked it and loved giving it to him.
