Out with the Old and In with the New

Since our family is growing Josh and I have been looking for a new car to replace my very much loved Nissan Versa. It was my first car that I ever purchased and I must say that it was a little emotional to watch it leave. I left Josh up to car shopping since I was just going to be driving the Malibu we have and Josh was just getting a car bigger than the Versa but not quite as big as the Malibu just to drive to work. Or so that was the plan... Much to my surprise last Friday he showed up at home with a Nissan Murano for ME!!! Call me spoiled if you want but I just think of it as very loved. :) He had been telling me all day that he ended up just getting himself a truck and I was believing him. I am so glad that he decided to get me a new car instead though. I love it!!! It is so pretty and big compared to my Versa. According to my little sister in law Grace, who is 7, I am a real woman now haha. Not that being pregnant made me a woman or anything. I am super excited about it and I love driving it!!

A Mini Baby Update

I guess I should start off by saying that we are having a little baby girl. Her name is Paisley Eve. She still wont be here for another 4 months but this little girl is spoiled. She has some awesome Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles, Great Grandmas and Great Aunts, friends, and my clients that have only just begun to spoil her. I have started to feel her kick and move around in there. Josh got to feel her for the first time a few weeks ago too. That was exciting for me because I love when she is dancing around in there and he actually gets to be a part of it. I have also started to be a little uncomfortable when sitting or standing for a while. It just takes some getting used to I think. Poor Josh says having a preggo wife just prepares you for a baby... "you need to make sure they are fed, napped, and content" I love him. He has been so great through all of this. I couldn't ask for a better husband right now. We are currently 22 weeks along. Only 18 more to go!!! Yes I am counting down. It is not that I am completely fed up with being pregnant but it is just that I am super excited to see her. I am picturing her to look just like Josh so we shall see. We have already got her room painted and got all of her furniture almost ready to go into the room. All of her bedding is here also and I can't wait to get that in the crib and see how it looks. This weekend we are planning on registering and we are looking forward to that. It is always fun to shop around for her. My shower will be at the end of next month which sounds a little early but by then I will already be 30 weeks!!! I just can't wait to see all her cute clothes and all her fun stuff she will get. Here are some of the ultrasound pictures we have got and some belly pictures...

her first portrait at 12 weeks
her waving at 12 weeks
her feet at 20 weeks
her profile at 20 weeks, she didn't want to have her picture taken at this appointment. this was the best one we got.

her bedding. this isn't her room it just her bedding!!

Renovations

A lot has been going on around here this month. So much that we have had barely any weekends to relax. That is okay by me though. It had made this whole pregnancy thing go by a little faster. We started the last weekend in February by putting up a wall in the loft. The next weekend we did manage to skip away to Disneyland for a day but then when we got back we picked up right where we left off. My mother in law and I started painting the nursery. It took us about 2 and 1/2 days to finish all the painting including the new part of the hallway. That weekend our new carpet was installed. It smelled brand new and made our house look completely different. Josh keeps saying that he wishes we would have put the wall up and put the carpet in a long time ago. It looks like a totally different house and makes us feel as if we just bought a brand new house!! Right after the carpet was installed, we got everything back in its place but oh how the dust lingers. The cleaning has just died down. I was at war with the constant dust and for a while I was definitely losing haha. I am glad that the construction is over inside the house now but in the garage her furniture is in progress. I have been sanding it down and will be painting it light gray. I can't wait to see the finished product and get her room really put together. Here are some pictures of the renovation...
