Seattle!!
This post is with out pictures because I figured everyone that looks at this has a facebook and they are all upload to an album on my profile.

We had a great time in Seattle. It was a vacation well needed and a deserved after our horrific honeymoon. This is how it went...

Day 1: Thursday: April 15th:
Cloudy, Cold, and little sprinkles in the morning: Sunny in the afternoon
*arrived in Seattle and caught a taxi. *got ripped off with the $40 taxi ride to the hotel, The Hyatt at Olive 8. *the hotel was beautiful and very accommodating. *found a map and figured out lunch was the first stop. *ended up at Pike Place. *watched the guys throw fresh frozen fish through out the market as it was ordered. *ate lunch at a hole in the wall restaurant, The Market Diner, got french dip and Josh had fish and chips. *ate the most amazing doughnuts at this stand, they were tiny, crispy, chocolate frosting, and sprinkles, so delicious. *went down to the waterfront, bought Mariner's stuff, found out about a ferry to an island called Bainbridge. *got tickets and rode the ferry 35 minutes to the island. *went to a museum, found that the island's population went down after WWII when the Asians were forced out to concentration camps because they were assumed to have connection with Pearl Harbor. *waited for the ferry, watched 70 some cars load underneath the ferry. *walked some crazy hills from waterfront to 5th street, yes 5 long tall blocks. *went to the Mariner's team store, it was so big and a little overwhelming, bought more Mariner's stuff. *went back and hung out at the hotel until dinner. *ate dinner at Tap House, had a coupon the hotel concierge gave us, forgot to use it. *went back to the hotel *tried to get massages, they were booked. *tried to got to the hot tub, forgot my bathing suit. *watched Survivor. * went to bed.

Day 2: Friday: April 16th: Josh's Birthday:
Sunny and warm all day. Rained at night.
*gave Josh his birthday card, let him know his name was going on the score board. *ate breakfast at a Mom & Pop diner called Pamela's, so good, got french toast and Josh got a breakfast sandwich. *took the monorail to Space Needle, was the first made monorail and it felt like it. *went up to the top of the Space Needle, we were the first ones of the day. *took monorail back. *took underground train to the stadium. *Josh took a picture with a former Mariner's baseball player. *went on the Safeco Field Tour, so awesome, got to go on the field, in the interview room, press box, managers suite, and diamond club. *did Qwest tour (stadium where the Seattle Seahawks play), not as impressed as the baseball stadium but pretty cool. *planned on going to eat. *ended up in line 3 1/2 before game time since there was already a line, Ken Griffey Jr. bobble head night, lines to get in were nuts. *watched batting practice. *got Josh other birthday gifts, it was a package deal: baseball, hat, bag, card, $5 concessions gift card, 10% off team store purchase, $25 gift card to Ivar's (a famous seafood restaurant there). *ate at the ball park for dinner, hot dogs, a soda, and licorice rope. *enjoyed the win 11-3. *took train back to find out it goes all the way to the airport for $5. *went back to the hotel and crashed.
Day 3: Saturday: April 17th:
Raining and cold ALL day long
*woke up and walked to the waterfront. *went to the Seattle Aquarium. *went and bought tickets for the Underground City Tours. *ate at Ivar's, got fish and chips and Josh got salmon. *sat out at Pioneer Square, people watching until the Underground tours started, encountered some scary bums. *took the Underground City Tour, very interesting but is it true?!? google it for the whole story its mind boggling. *got a rocky road carmel apple, chocolate covered pretzel and oreo. *walked to the stadium. *went to the Mariner's team store, had a guy behind the counter that was confusing him self and proud of it, bought more Mariner's stuff. *waited for the park to open in the rain, they don't open up early unless it is Ken Griffey bobble head night. *we were the 6th and 7th people in the stadium. *watched batting practice. *got a helmet autographed by one of the player. *ate dinner at the park, chicken fingers and fries. *enjoyed the win again 4-2. *went to Fox Sports Grill by the hotel to watch the basketball game. *went back to the hotel to relax.
Day4: Sunday: April 18th:
Sunny ALL day
*got up to our alarms at 10am. *slowly got up and packed. *decided just to head to the airport. *took the train, it was a 30 minute ride, saw Mt. Rainier from the window, passed the stadium with the roof open, wished we stayed for the game and got home later. *arrived at the airport. *ate Wendy's for lunch. *watch the Mariner's game from a restaurant in the airport. *boarded the plane unwillingly.
The trip couldn't have been better. It was a blast. The weather was great. All the tours and places we went were fun. Mariner's won their games we went to. Enjoyed not having plans but making them as we went. We are already planning our next trip...we have a few in mind. Nashville? Cruise? or New York?

Happy Early Birthday Josh
Josh got his birthday present early this year. He pick out for a shop vac. It is amazing how much your wish list changes as you get older and own a house. Just a year ago he would have never asked for a shop vac. We went to Lowes together and HE picked it out and swiped HIS card. Just a year ago he wouldn't have swiped his own card either. It would have been mine not ours. He cleaned out both cars that day. I think that means he liked it! Happy Birthday Josh!

Josh's birthday week isn't over yet...SEATTLE here we come!!

Girls Trip to St George

A trip to St George always involves food and shopping. Never much more than that. Last week, my mom, my sister Kalah, my aunt Laurie, a family friend Tanya, and I left at 7am for St George. I love any kind of road trips but girl was always seem to go by so fast. I think it is because we talk all the way there. Between us 5 there was always something to say. Here is how the trip went with a bunch of girls...

First Stop: Cracker Barrel. Ham steak and eggs for breakfast and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Yes I had dessert at breakfast...don't judge me!

Next Stop: Tai Pan. My mom bought me 2 selves that I fell in love with for my kitchen. I bought a couple plates to go in them. This decor is probably one of my favorite things in my house right now.

Third Stop: Roberts. Bought paper and vinyl for house wife project #6. Bought flowers, ribbon, and other cute pink/black stuff for TARINs letters.

Fourth Stop: Arctic Circle. My first time. I loved the fry sauce and of course the hamburger too!! FYI...there was about 5 hours in between the meals haha.

Got in the car to go and realized we should probably rearrange the stuff in the car so Kalah had a place to sit. On the way out of town I saw a real life polygamist. I know it sounds weird but here is your chance to learn something about me you didn't know. I have this weird fascination with polygamy. I don't agree with it at all but the fact that people are part of it is what I find interesting. I like reading books about it because it is just bizarre. I was debating whether or not to post the picture I took of her but then I figure I probably shouldn't.

Had a great time with the girls. Can't wait to do it again!!

The Boys Sleepover

Josh's little brothers were due for their sleepover. His dad was called to New York for a work meeting while his mom was out of town for spring break so we had them for 2 nights and considered it their sleepover. It was way different than Grace's. After having boys and girls in the house I'm not sure which one is easier?!?! This is how theirs went...

Monday: Picked them up from their baseball games. I watched Masons while Josh's dad was at Jake's. On our way home we talked about baseball the whole way. We got home and had sandwiches for dinner. The boys took showers. We watched some TV and it was bed time.

Tuesday: Woke up at 6:30am with Mason. He was ready to go for the day. Mason let Jake sleep in until 8am. Meanwhile, Mason helped me get our eggs loaded for our egging that we were planning to do. For breakfast, Mason discovered he like english muffins. He ate 2. Jake was so tired and mad the he got woke up so early he wasn't hungry. We decided to get dressed and head out for the day. Bank first and then egging we went. We went to my moms house and we put the eggs all over the yard. Jake ran the door bell and we ran behind the truck. The daycare kids were so excited. They didn't even notice me taking pictures behind the truck. We had sonic for lunch that day. The next on the agenda was to go see Diary of a Wimpy Kid. We ran to the grocery store first for snacks and then to the movies we went. We bought tickets at the kiosk and there was no one ripping the tickets before you go in. My thought was I shouldn't have bought tickets but figured I just got lucky walking in. When I came out...there was still no one there. The movie was ok. The boys liked it. That night I had a client and Josh wasn't going to be home for a little while so I put in a movie. Jake fell asleep but Mason wasn't having it. He went out side watered the plants, played his DS, called Josh to see when he was coming home, watched some of the movie, and kept sample testing my home made fried rice. The boys ate dinner, orange chicken and fried rice, while I finished up with my client. After we all sat down and watched American Idol. During commercials all of the boys wrestled, had hand standing contests, had pillow fights, and be being the only girl in the house I just watched. The boys took showers and it was time for bed.

Wednesday: I had to leave at 3am in the morning to take my friend for an out patient surgery. Josh had jury duty this day so it was perfect. I got home a little before he had to leave. I wasn't sure what to do with the boys today. We were going to go the park with their cousins but it was too windy. Aunt Jamie came up with the idea to go bowling. We finally got Jake up at 10:30am to get ready. We met at Taco Bell for lunch and then went bowling. We had fun!! Jamie beat us all!! Even those with the bumpers. We came home for a little bit before we had to get ready for Jake's game and were leaving early to meet Josh at Applebee's for dinner. That was the restaurant of their choice. On our way, we found out his game was at 5:30 not 7:30 so the plans changed fast! Jake was going to the game, Mason didn't have a jacket so him and I would still meet Josh for dinner and my dad would bring Jake to Josh's parents house after the game. After dinner, we went to Josh's parents with ribs in hand for Jake when he got home. I felt so bad for not going to his game but it was crazy windy and cold out there. Dave, Josh's dad, came home and we traded off. Josh and I went home.

I had fun. It was the only time in my whole life that I was around just boys for that long. I grew up with all sisters. Boys are way messier than girls but can be entertained easily with video games. We want to have each boy back for their own sleepover eventually but this one will do for now!
