A Day Trip to St. George
Racquel and I took a day trip to St. George on Friday. We left the house at 6:30am to go get my oil changed first. After finding out the didn't open until 7am, a trip to del taco, getting gas, a trip to smiths, finding out I couldn't use my free coupon there, and spending $21 still for an oil change...we were finally on the road at 8:30am.
We went to Tai Pan, a wholesale home decor store, and Cracker Barrel. Tai Pan was amazing. It was so overwhelming. Everything in the store was way cheap considering what you were getting. The store was about the size of a Costco and it was just full of great stuff. I had so many ideas going through my head but a tight budget didn't allow much. I ended up finding some little canisters for my magnetic spice rack I want to make. They came out to $1 each! I couldn't believe it!! I also bought some cool matching jars. I thought I needed more color in my house and when I put them up, the color was much needed. I had been looking for an oil jar and I found one for $1. I spent only $32 and it was well worth my trip.
We had to go to Cracker Barrel for lunch because it was Racquels first trip to Utah and first trip to Cracker Barrel. I got breakfast and she got a pulled pork sandwich. Racquel had to take a try at the brain game. She couldn't get under 3.
We had a great time chatting and enjoying each others company on the road. It was a well needed girls trip!! Can't wait to go to Tai Pan again!!

Super Bowl
We went over to Josh's parents house for Super Bowl. My family came over too! It is so great that everyone gets along because it makes family functions easier. We had french dip sandwiches and a lot of side dishes. I attempted to make home made potato chips for the party but they burnt :( it was quite the project. Dave informed me that "frito lay is the professionals, would you want me to cut your hair?" and he was exactly right. I hated to see Josh lose a couple of his bets. I guess we can be grateful for the one that he hit. We also played this square game. Everyone paid a dollar per square and bought however many they chose. The person who bought the square coordinating with the score at half time and at the final won $50. It was fun. Josh ended up winning the 2nd half. We had a good time that day, poor boys though they have to wait until September again for football.
