A Wedding Update
**Met with the DJ. He is going to be awesome!! Both of us are super excited about the ideas and different things he offers. He will also be our wedding coordinator so to say the day of wedding.
**Went and tried on many different bridesmaids dresses with my maid of honor Racquel. It was like the movie 27 Dresses. Many different dresses some not so hot and others way cute.
**Went dress shopping for myself with my Mom, Tarin, Racquel, my Aunt Laurie, and future mom-in-law Jen. I found the perfect one after about 10. I said I love it with out even thinking and when I went to try on the other I couldn't decide. The bridal consultant told me what I said about the other and that's when I realized I really did love the dress I bought. I got a 20% off coupon a couple days ago so I bought my dress and matching shoes for less than my dress itself.
**Took Tarin to try on some of the same bridesmaids dress Racquel did and pick one out. It will look great on all 3 of them.
**Have been looking at several different invitation designs. Love the contemporary styles. We will see what we end up with.
**Josh and I pick out a style for our cake. It is so cute. Things change but that is the one we have in mind so far.
**There are still other things to get and other things to do. Registering being one. I think both of us are excited to do that.
**Engagement pictures are scheduled for next week. Still have to figure out clothes and location.
**October still seems so far away, but its going by fast. Only 140 days to go!!!

New Mexico
This past weekend I went out of town with the Sedillos. We went to New Mexico for Josh's cousin's graduation. The trip was fun. The drive was not so fun.
We left Thursday night at 7:30. We drove ALL night long. A lot of sleeping, a lot of movies, a lot of rain, a lot of twizzlers, a lot of pumping gas, a lot of wondering how much longer. That is how that drive went. Arrived in New Mexico at 8:30am. We all snuck in Pretty SkinnyAunt Connie's back door and went up to her room and surprised her. She thought we would be there about noon. Her and Kristin were dead asleep when we got there. We had breakfast burritos. Then we all took a nap. We had A Lot A Burger for lunch. Dave has to go there at least once while he is there and it was pretty good. Hung out at the house with all the guys while the other girls went to lunch. Read some magazines, played pool, met other family members as the came in and out all day. Had a huge dinner at Connie's house that night. Met some more family, ate some good Mexican food, played some pool, watched a pretty cool thunder storm. At 11:30 we headed to the hotel for bed. Everyone was sooo tired we all slept really good but had to be up early for the graduation ceremony.
Saturday morning came fast. Josh had set his alarm but hit snooze. We woke up to Dave knock on the door at 8 we had to leave at 8:15. Made it on time to Pretty Skinny Aunt Connie's and barely made it on time to the graduation. It was so humid this day from all the rain and extremely bright outside. After graduation headed back to the house to hang out. Ate left overs, socialized, went to Wal-Mart with Grandma Connie and Dale, played some more pool. The graduation party was that night and went into the wee hours of the morning.
Sunday we had an awesome breakfast as always. No meal is disappointing when Aunt Lilly makes it. Hung out, went to Uncle Mel's Sunday service, listened to many jokes and different ring tones, and then headed to White Sands. It was so beautiful there. The sand was so white Dave and Josh joked that I blended in. We played with these disks. You climb a big hill and slide back down on a disk. Jen and I decided that the walk back up wasn't worth we slide down. Plus the 1st time I went down Dave pushed me and nearly traumatized me. We then headed over to Aunt Lilly's and Uncle Mel's for a BBQ. Had hamburgers, potato salad, hot dogs, watermelon, and homemade guacamole. The kids went swimming and everyone just hung out. Josh and I left and went to Wal-Mart. No day in Alamogordo is complete with out a trip to Wal-Mart. We got ice cream for everyone and headed back. We made milk shakes and then Josh and I drove to Kristin and Joeys house where we stayed that night. They have such an awesome house. Way cute. The guys played video games and Kristin and I laid on the bed and talked until we nearly fell asleep.
Monday we woke up early and Jen and Dave came to pick us up. Not long after a stop and a convenient store for breakfast we were on the rode again. The drive home was a little more tedious than the ride there. More stops and a lot more nerves on edge. We finally made it home 14 hours later.
A fun but way too quick of a trip. Hopefully we will be able to go back to visit sometime soon. Here are some snap shots of the trip...
Josh and Dave pumping gas. Something was wrong with the gas tank. It took as 25 minutes to fill up this time.
Dave was too tired to even sit up.
Josh acting like he was sleeping so I wouldn't take his picture. See the smile.
The bridge at the Damn. Not sure how my first ride across that will be or if there will be a first.

An Alumni Concert
Last Sunday, I got a phone call from my high school choir teacher who also used to be my next door neighbor for 7 years. She told me that she was leaving Eldorado High School and wanted me to come back to participate in an alumni concert. I was so excited she called me. It was an awesome time. It was a mini choir reunion. The oldest alumni there graduated in 1997. There was probably about 40 of us. Everyone that was married and had families brought their husband and kids instead of their parents like they used too. We had an hour to practice together and performed it like we had practiced for days. It was amazing. Everyone that should up was part of this audition group called Madrigals. So that helped us sound better. I am waiting to get a picture of all of us from one of the people. I can't wait to see it. I wish Mrs. Tyler well at Las Vegas High School as she starts her new beginning. Man that night makes me miss choir a WHOLE bunch!!

Too Busy to Blog...
I always have such a good time visiting with that side of the family. Lots of laughs and memories made.
I am so far behind on blogging whats been going on over here. Busy, Busy, Busy. Work all day and hair all night. We have been figuring out wedding plans, visiting my family in Bakersfield, and celebrating Mother's Day.
A couple weekends ago...
On Friday, my Mom, Jen, Josh, and I went and looked at a couple venues for the wedding. The first one was a waste of our time but the second one was PERFECT! It didn't take long for us to decide. It will be on the 17th of October at 4:00pm at Siena Golf Club. It is beautiful. We talked a lot of wedding talk on the way home since we were stuck in in traffic for over an hour. We dropped Jen off and picked up my sister and dad and hit the road for Bakersfield. We got there kind of late but hung out and visited for a little while before heading to bed.
Saturday, we met up with my brother and his family for breakfast. It was the day of the Kentucky Derby so we headed to the fair grounds to pick our lucky horse. Who would have thought Josh would have picked the lucky #8 horse. It won with odds 50-1. We went over to my Uncle's house to visit him. He is going through chemotherapy right now so we made it a point to make it over there. After we head back to the house for a BBQ and some swimming. Ate and hung out until it was time for the rodeo!! Yee Haw!!
I had never been to a rodeo but I had a blast. Barrel Racing was my favorite but Josh hates it. They had the best tribute for the fallen soldiers. A horse walked out with a beautiful saddle on with no one one it and there was a moment of silence for them.
I just thought it was so amazing. There are so many days that go by and I don't even remember that we are having a war but there are families who have family over there. After the rodeo we went to Crystal Palace. It is a dance hall where they have concerts sometimes. When there is dancing and my brother and dad are in the same room, the true colors show of how much they are alike!! Its crazy.
It hit midnight and that was it...it closed. Music stopped and we had to leave. Josh and I were thrown off. Stoneys is open until like 4am or something like that. Went back to the house, ran to taco bell, came home, and head to bed.

Sunday, we went to the bowling alley for breakfast. They have a little cafe there and it was pretty good. We then stayed for 2 games of bowling. It was too funny. I have never, that I can remember, bowled with my parents. My team (Josh, my cousin, and I) lost both games. I think it was because we didn't have Coach Toby helping us out. Even my Aunt Theresa threw a couple balls down.
After that we went back to the house and pack up our stuff and hit the road.
I always have such a good time visiting with that side of the family. Lots of laughs and memories made.
Mother's Day...
Today my sister and I waited for my mom to wake up to give her her gifts. Normally she is waiting for us. I got her 2 books, Tarin got her the Rascal Flatts CD, and my Dad and Kalah got her a new chain for her necklace. Everyone came over for a brunch in the morning. Josh and I booked our honeymoon to Mazatlan, Mexico.
My grandparents our giving us their timeshare for the week as our wedding gift. I am so excited and thankful for that. What an awesome gift! After being at my house for a little while we headed over to Josh's house to be with his family for a while.

"The" Weekend
We had a blast on our trip to Anaheim. It was relaxing. There was no plans really. Just the games. Or at least that was all that was planned!!
Friday: We left Vegas after Josh got off. Stopped for gas and Jack in the Box. Drove straight through. We got to the Hilton we pricelined to check in and the couldn't pull us up. I ran out to the car to get the confirmation to find out that we were at the wrong Hilton. Called Josh because I wasn't about to walk in there again. He grabbed his ID and walked out. Went to check into the right hotel. It turned out to be really nice suites. Living room/Bedroom deal. Asked the front desk if it was too far from the stadium to walk and she said "OH YEAH! Like 15 minutes in the car." We were kinda bummed because we didn't want to pay to park. Got to the room and went to bed.
Saturday: Slept in. Josh opened the curtains to find the stadium was the view out our window. Definitely walking distance.
Got dressed in our Mariners get up. Went to McDonald's for breakfast. Went to the mall. Stopped at Target for some waters, baseball cards (didn't score any Mariner's cards), and a baseball for signatures at batting practice. No luck on the baseball. Stopped at Big 5 for a baseball. Got another pack of baseball cards (didn't score any Mariner's cards or Angels). Headed back to the hotel. He watched the NFL draft. I played on the computer and read a book. Went to eat dinner. Walked to the game early for batting practice. Check out the memorial they had for one of their pitchers who just died a few weeks ago in a car crash. He was hit by a drunk driver.
We were in the outfield for this game.
Was close to catching a couple but not quite close enough. Sat next to some pretty cool Angels fans. Ate all the baseball junk food. The Mariner's ended up winning that game.
Went back to the hotel and went to bed.

Sunday: Woke up early. Packed up. Check out. Went to Carl's Jr. for breakfast. Headed straight to the game from their for batting practice. Hoped to get the stuff signed today because we were only 6 rows up from Mariner's dug out. No luck. It was a little league thing today so we weren't allowed in for batting practice. We got to watch them warm up a little. Josh was excited to watch Ken Griffey Jr. play again.
Sat next to some fun Mariner's fans. It was a little toasty this day. Applied sunscreen every other inning. They ended up loosing the game so there wasn't much to cheer for or so I thought. :) On the way out Josh asked if I wanted to go to Disneyland. I was kind of hesitant about going. I didn't want to pay for a whole days worth for only 5 or 6 hours and we both had to be the work the next day. I was kind of ready to go home. He convinced me so we went. We rode rides. Headed to the gift shop for some souvenirs. Ate some dinner. Rode more rides. We were getting tired but we decided to take our picture in front of the castle by those photographers that stand around. As she got ready to take it...he got down on one knee and started laughing. I looked at him and asked him..."are you going to ask me?" He said..."will you marry me?" and took the "souvenir" (a fake ring) he bought out of his pocket and I handed him the wrong hand.
Everyone watching was clapping. We finally got the ring on the right hand and took a couple more pictures.

As we were walking out of the park, I was already calling my parents. He was texting family and friends. I started texting everyone. Our phones were just going crazy, but it was awesome to read every ones response. After we were almost to the car, Josh reminded me that my purse was in the locker inside Disneyland. It was closing so only he could go in and get it. We made it back to the car finally. Stopped for gas and snacks and headed home. Talked about guest lists, the wedding party, and other wedding details in the way home. Got to his house and got my "real" ring.
It is absolutely beautiful. He picked it all out him self. We called it a night and I headed home.

It was an awesome trip!! The games were a great time and the whole weekend ended with a bang. I can't believe that it is actually happening. I'm so excited!!
