Happy Birthday Tarin!

My little sister turned 13 yesterday. She turned 13 but thinks she is 16. We had family over for presents, cake (cupcakes too!), and ice cream.

On Friday night she is actually having her party. My mom is being brave and taking some girls up to Mt. Charleston for the night by her self because my dad is hurt. (I would go with her but of course I have school) They are going to have dinner at the lodge, open presents, hang out in the hotel room and talk about boys like all 13 year old girls do. Then they are going to wake up the next morning, go to the old lodge for breakfast, and play around in the snow all day. I'm sure she will have a great time. It sounds like so much fun!

A Lil' Bit Country!!

This past Saturday my family went to the Brad Paisley concert. We got the tickets for Christmas and had been waiting anxiously to go. We ate at Chili's before the concert and showed up to the concert early to get my Dad situated before the show started. Unfortunately what started out as a family function kind of ended up as a sister outing and a parent outing. My Dad tore his MCL at work the week before so he had a brace on wouldn't allow him to bend his knee so he couldn't sit with us in the normal seats. He and my mom ended up having to sit in some chairs literally right across the arena. It was not too far away. We could still see them from our seats. That is my mom in the blue shirt standing up and my dad sitting in the chair to her left.

He toured with Chuck Wicks

and Rodney Atkins.

Both of who were extremely good. Good enough that we went out and bought Chuck Wick's CD that came out on Tuesday. But during the little intermissions, between shows, we got a little bored. Can you tell?!?!

My Sisters and I

My new Cowboy boots I got for Christmas.

And of course the star of the show. Brad Pasiley. He was very good. He played his guitar a lot, sometimes too much, but he was very entertaining.

Overall the night was great. We had a lot of fun. Next concert on the list......Kenny Chesney!! (hopefully)

My New Model!!

So I needed a male model this morning for class. We could only do cuts, color, or perms. I don't know any guy in their right mind that would want a perm. We are in the 2000's not the 80's. So anyway...Josh, being such the great boyfriend he is, came in as my model. We had already cut his hair though just a a few days ago and a perm was not an option so we were left with only one choice...color. He told me to do cheetah spots kinda like Dennis Rodman and well I think it was a success and didn't turn out half bad.
He is going to come in next week again to be my model. If anybody has any fun ideas for his hair next week PLEASE let me know. He is pretty much up for anything so be creative.

-I had a great christmas. I got a tv, a curling iron, running shoes, Brad Paisley concert tickets, luggage, a blow dryer, an exercise machine, and the list goes on. I have to admit I got a little spoild this year.

-Attended my Aunt's 65th birthday/40th anniversary suprise party in California. She was so excited she cried.

-I went to my brothers wedding. I got to see my family. It was a huge party.

My sister and my new nephew DJ

My family

My neice Austynn praying. She just looked so sweet.

-Brought in the New Year with some family and friends. We played the Newlywed game. There was like 8 couples and Josh and I tied another couple for first place. (us and the other couple were the only ones not married)

I have had and awesome vacation. It was been about a week and a half with no work or school but it all starts again tomorrow. I am not really complaining though because I only have 6 weeks until I graduate!!
